On October 11, 2009, the Finlandia Foundation Colorado together with the Denver Finnish School will sponsor a church service led by Hans Tuominen, a pastor/minister from Helsinki, Finland, who will be accompanied by his wife Mari. Communion is planned for the service.

FFC intends this to be not only an event for the Finnish community, but also a cultural event for the greater Denver area. Consequently, we invite the entire Finnish community to attend and welcomes anyone else who would like to come.

There will be a reception after the service, please bring some baked goods for the reception. Hans and Mari have agreed to lead the group in singing Finnish songs during the reception. The service will be conducted in Finnish.

It will begin at 3:30 pm on October 11, 2009, at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, 920 Kipling Street, Lakewood, Colorado. We hope you attend and bring guests for this unique event.
